My yoga journey began several years ago. On one hand I started doing yoga for the physical reason to balance out sports such as weight training in the gym, on the other hand I felt the need to find a way to calm my mind, giving it a break from my stressful daily life working full time and additionally studying at a distance university (International Business Communication with emphasis on different languages – another passion of mine), which also took its tolls healthwise.
Over the years my own practice intensified and my focus shifted from strongly body-centered asana classes to more mindful classes integrating meditation and pranayama, breathing techniques.
I received more and more questions from friends and colleagues being interested in yoga or asking questions like „what can I do against…“ which made me realize that I would love to share more about yoga to help others get their own benefits out of it. Of course I was lacking some deeper knowledge at that time though. I became more and more interested in the background and science of yoga and decided to do a Yoga Teacher Training myself.
My international teacher training on the island of Gran Canaria was bilingual (German and English) and included Raja Yoga as well as the styles of Hatha, Vinyasa, Aerial and Yin Yoga plus meditation techniques. In October of 2020 I finished my 200 hour training with the official certificate of the American Yoga Alliance (AYA) and directly started teaching yoga afterwards (for more information on online classes please check below). Since 2022 I have also been offering lectures on yogic science with short practice units in companies to allow employees an insight into the effects of yoga (relaxation as well as ffurther benefits for body and psyche).
In 2022 I absolved my latest yoga trainings (YACEP) including a 50 hour advanced anatomy training and another 50 hour training in traditional tantric hatha yoga.
I am very interested in personal development which also extends to my yoga education as I continue to study and take part in additional ongoing trainings.
